A New Era of (Compulsory) Service

Under Bush people would have screamed no, but now under Obama people will line up

This is a new era of service for one’s country! While millionaire celebrities are lining up to tell the battered American people they must sacrifice more for their country the Private Banking Industries are funneling Trillions into their Corporation. The new Executive Branch is prepping the American People for the creation of a Civilian National Security Force to help make America stronger, better, safer. At the same time our Government is stationing Active Military Troops in the US in case of Civil Unrest and Economic Hardships (1).

Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is an advocate for a three-month compulsory universal service program for anyone between the ages of 18-24. He wrote a book about the idea called ‘The Plan’(2) and has given interviews on CSPAN explaining his goals (3). Another book called ‘American Grit’ has recently been written by Tony Blankley which makes an argument for a new Draft (4).

The last full-blown American draft was for the Vietnam War because of the threat of communist political powers spreading across the globe. The new threat is the ‘War on Terror’- a war that we have been told could last 1,000 years with unseen enemies that have no real national origin. Though the majority of Americans are against the Wars in the Middle East, the powers that control the Military Industrial Complex need fuel for their huge hubris machine (5). The fuel is fear. We must be filled with fear in order to justify our foreign policy and we must believe an outside force threatens our lives. But there is a new fear from our internal system: a fear of economic collapse.

Banks lobbied Congress to release restrictions on leveraged debt so they could exponentially increase their lending powers. At the same they sold the leveraged debt to investors as triple A-rated investments. Free Trade Agreements and lack of international tariffs have also battered the economy. We allow outside Corporations to produce the goods we ship in without a tariff to keep the goods cheap. This affects the US business because they can’t produce products at the same cost as the International Corporations. The US business is required by law to provide safe working environments, eight hour days, overtime and minimum wage but the international corporations are not required by our trade agreements to provide any of the basic necessities. Another problem is the Chinese artificial devaluation of their currency in the world market, by keeping their currency below the US dollar; they can undersell their products in the US market. Henceforth, when you shop at Wal-Mart you are killing the US economy. Wal-Mart was responsible for $27 billion in U.S. imports from China in 2006 and 11% of the growth of the total U.S. trade deficit with China. (6)

Dont Worry, weve got it under control

Don't Worry, we've got it under control

With that being said the American people must not blame the citizen who wanted to buy a home for their family as the root of the economic collapse. Many talking points link the cause of the Economy to the troubled housing market but the root cause is the internalized corporate takeover of the real US economy.

Now how does this link to national security force? The economy will be the base from which the Obama administration projects their need for compulsory service. The millions of jobs the administration is going to create will be because they do not address the real problem with the American Economy. Americans will be forced to work through the Government because there will not be sufficient independent businesses. Citizens will be asked to submit their power of independence to help the greater good, but we understand the greater good does not flow from the Government. We understand that our Government is working for the Private Banking Industry and for the Internalized Corporation. We understand that the ‘War on Terror’ is a hyped threat to induce fear to control the people. Now we as a people must understand that the National Civilian Force will not be for the people but will be a new arm of the Government to micromanage our daily lives.
